OUR SCHOOL
In 2021, a group of members of the Brooker community met to discuss the possibility of opening a charter elementary school to serve the needs of the students in the community and surrounding areas, with the goal of offering a program that was challenging, innovative, and designed to meet the unique needs of the children from rural communities. Brooker is a small city located in Bradford County, Florida with a population of 342 based on projections of the latest U.S. Census estimates.
The school is committed to providing residents of Brooker and the surrounding communities with a rigorous education that will prepare students for secondary school and beyond. It is the intent of Brooker Community School to expose students to challenging and authentic learning experiences that will promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Students will acquire a solid educational foundation that will prepare them for future studies and careers.

At Brooker Community School, the School Leadership will foster a culture consistent with the school's mission and vision. There will be an emphasis on continuous improvement and high expectations among students and staff. The School Leader will emphasize a clear set of values and beliefs in order to establish and maintain a school climate which is nurturing, positive, and supportive. The belief that "every student can succeed" will be a key aspect of the school's culture. As stated in the school's mission statement, Brooker Community School will work in partnership with families and the community to provide a collaborative and supportive learning environment for all students. Brooker Community School believes that the student's family and the community play a pivotal role in the educational process. Outreach activities will be implemented to engage parents and community members in the educational program at Brooker Community School. The school will organize events throughout the year that will allow parents to become active participants in the education of their children. Community parTnerships with local businesses and community organizations will be established to provide additional support to students.
